Kelvin (absolute temperature)
The temperature scale used in chemistry, physics and some engineering calculations. Zero degrees Kelvin (-273.15° centigrade) is the temperature at which all thermal motion ceases. To convert from Kelvin into centigrade subtract 273.15 from the Kelvin temperature.
The temperature at which the volume of an ideal gas becomes zero; the theoretical coldest temperature that can be approached but never reached.
